Education

At Georgetown, Ted focused his study on finance, investment analysis, strategy and consulting. During his first year of MBA, he did an internship at American Council On Renewable Energy (“ACORE”), where he conducted research onAmerican policy regarding renewable energy, and its investment risks and opportunities.

Mr. Ted Liu graduated from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business with an MBA degree. He also holds an LL.B. and an LL.M. degree in Financial and Economic Law from Fu Jen Catholic University.

Mr. Ted Liu is one of the very few lawyerswith both an MBA and law degree. He has extensive experience ranging from litigation, corporate and M&A, banking and finance, compliance, to consulting. In the field of litigation, Ted handles both civil and criminal cases such as financial crime, white-collar crime, corruption, and insurance litigation. In the field of corporate and M&A, Ted conducts due diligence and advises legal and strategic matters for several cross-border M&A deals. In the field of banking and finance, Ted has advised several international financial institutions on the matters of banking, investment banking, insurance and reinsurance, offshore funds, ePayment, OTC derivatives, and issuance of structured products. Ted has also worked for Fubon Securities Company, one of the largest investment bank in Taiwan. Prior to working at Lin & Partners, Ted worked at PwC’s legal department focusing on financial law compliance.
