Education

Tzu-Yu Lin holds an LL.M. from University College London (UCL), where her areas of study and research included international finance law, intellectual property, trade secrets and competition law. She also holds an LL.M. from National Chengchi University and an LL.B. from Soochow University. She is qualified as an attorney in Taiwan and passed the Solicitors Qualifying Examination in England and Wales in 2026.

Tzu-Yu has experience in civil, criminal and administrative litigation, as well as matters involving financial regulation, corporate governance, intellectual property, trade secrets, anti-money laundering and commercial contracts. She previously served as Legal Counsel at Taipei Music Center, where she was responsible for contract review, legal compliance and the development of internal policies and regulations. She has also advised clients in the entertainment industry, including music companies, theatre companies, talent agencies and artists, on legal and contractual matters.

Tzu-Yu has further gained experience in the UK through Judicial Marshalling at the High Court of Justice in London and an internship at a UK law firm. Her academic research has included transparency obligations and trade secret protection under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act at UCL; copyright offences, fair use and criminal law at National Chengchi University; and trade secrets, copyright and cloud computing during her undergraduate studies, for which she received a National Science and Technology Council research grant.
