Ms. Yi-Mei Pan is an attorney at Lin & Partners specializing in corporate and commercial law, domestic and transnational dispute resolution. Her practice covers commercial disputes, food safety, insurance and reinsurance, performance management disputes, mass torts, hotel management, telecommunication regulations, personal data protection and enforcement of foreign judgement or arbitral award.
Yi-Mei received her LL.B. from National Taiwan University School of Law, after which she proceeded to the LL.M. program at Institute of Technology Law, National Chiao-Tung University. In the LL.M. course, Yi-Mei focused her studies on food safety laws and regulations, and completed her thesis on “Constructing Taiwan’s Food Safety Risk Communication Regulatory System.” In addition, Yi-Mei also participated in the government research project titling “Study on the Regulatory Compliance of Imported Foods” commissioned by the Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare as a research assistant, and thus accumulated strong expertise in food related laws, WTO treaties and regional trading agreements.
Yi-Mei has obtained hands-on experience in advocacy. She was also one of the few students that were selected by National Chiao-Tung University to participate in “Willem C. Vis (East) Moot” and “International ADR Mooting Competition” for two consecutive years. Yi-Mei is also a member at Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), and has working knowledge in international commercial arbitrations.
Prior to joining Lin & Partners, Yi-Mei interned at Taipei District Court, Lee & Li, Attorneys-at-Law and the Legal/IT Department of Delta Electronics, Inc., through which she obtained deep experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
