Overview
Education

Christelle Wu serves as one of Lin & Partners' "of counsel" advisors, specializing in commercial and IP agreements, regulatory compliance, and multi-jurisdictional dispute management and resolution. Trained as both a French and US attorney, Christelle brings extensive experience gained from working in large and boutique law firms in the US and France. Her background also includes a decade in the legal departments of American technology companies, where she honed her skills in contract negotiations, legal risks management and legal compliance. Christelle has consistently demonstrated her commitment as a team player in both law firms and corporate settings, cultivating strong relationships with her clients and offering practical legal advice to help them attain their objective.

Beginning her legal career in France, Christelle focused on negotiating and drafting commercial and employment agreements, particularly for US/European companies entering the French market. This initial experience provided her with a unique perspective on international business dynamics and the interface of civil and common law systems. After relocating to the US and becoming a licensed attorney in Colorado, Christelle worked as an associate at Baker & Hostetler in Denver, assisting business clients with commercial contracts, corporate issues and employment litigation needs.

Following a period running her own solo legal practice, Christelle transitioned to DISH Network's in-house legal department. There, she served as the lead negotiator in the international programming department, overseeing a substantial portfolio of licensing agreements with TV/video content providers from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. Subsequently, Christelle joined T-Mobile's legal department, leading negotiations with domestic programming partners such as VIACOM, FOX, HBO, and STARZ. During this time, she also supported T-Mobile's procurement team in securing technology contracts essential for the company's newly created video streaming service.

Christelle's role at T-Mobile evolved to focus on regulatory compliance, where she played a key role in structuring and implementing controls and training materials to ensure compliance with the company’s national security obligations. Collaborating successfully with products, privacy, security and data teams, she was instrumental in the development of several compliance programs. In 2023, Christelle relocated to Taiwan and commenced her collaboration with Lin & Partners.

Educationally, Christelle holds a Diplôme d’Etude Approfondie (D.E.A.) en Droit Privé from Université de Paris, Paris II (Panthéon-Assas), a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Cambridge University, and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Columbia University. She is qualified as an attorney with the Paris Bar (inactive status), the Colorado Bar, and registered as a Foreign Legal Affairs Attorney with the Taiwan Ministry of Justice and the Taipei Bar. Before joining Lin & Partners, Christelle was integral to T-Mobile's legal department, focusing on governmental compliance and complex service and licensing agreements.
