David Lee

Mr. David Lee graduated from National Taiwan University with an LL.B. and National Cheng-Chi University with an LL.M. He specializes in entertainment and gaming laws, government procurement, criminal defense, and anti-money laundering.

In his entertainment and gaming practice, David has drafted numerous contracts for Institute for Information, a foundation co-sponsored with government and private funding, in relation to mobile films and film-making by six schools. He has also handled the arbitration matter arising from typhoon damages suffered by a large entertainment business. David works closely with the Ministry of Transportation and Communications in drafting the Gaming Act and a total of dozens of the Act’s relevant enforcement rules, with the Sports Affairs Council in proposing the qualifications and selection of distributors for sports lotteries. Furthermore, he represents a client in a trademark licensing dispute with an international luxury car manufacturer.

In his government procurement practice, David helps handle a criminal case arising from procurement by nuclear power plant that amounts to hundreds of billions of dollars’ administrative appeals by foreign merchants to National Harbor Bureau, and other bidding processes for government procurement projects.

David has handled cases arising from Anti-Corruption Act, Securities & Exchange Act, perjury offenses, etc. His master’s thesis deals with the anti-terrorism and anti-money laundering systems in the U.S., and thus has working knowledge in this area.
