Alex specializes in local and cross-border matters involving competition and antitrust law, labor law and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Lin & Partners, he was an attorney at Deloitte and Baker & McKenzie, and a legal director at Taiwan’s Fair Trade Commission (FTC), during which he has handled several high-profile cases.

Alex has represented numerous clients in their dealings with FTC for various types of transactions covering, among others, fair trade matters, business combination filings, unfair competition and antitrust matters, many of which involved cross-border transactions with multinational enterprises. During his tenure at FTC, he handled the first international cartel case with leniency application in Taiwan including examining leniency application, interrogating conspiracy participants, and cooperating with agents from USDOJ and EU's DG-Competition during investigation. In addition to competition/antitrust practice, Alex has also advised on M&A, joint venture and distribution transactions.

Alex has been an adjunct instructor at National Chengchi University School of Law since 2012. Early in his career, Alex was also a law clerk at Taiwan Supreme Administrative Court.
